What would be an upgrade to my Squier Bullet Strat?

I currently have a Squier Bullet Strat and i need to upgrade.it sound like crap through my line 6 spider 3 and its always out of tune. my budget is $200 what do ya think? i was looking at the Dean Vendetta XM, Ibanez GRX20, Dean ML XM, Epi Les Paul Special 2, Epi SG Standard, Pac012DLX, Affinity Series Telecaster. Which would you suggest for heavier sounds, i mainly use a boss ds-1 and like to play grunge and metal. thanks.

my advice and i hope you do is save another 2 hundred and get either a Standard Strat with the humbucker in the bridge…look up fender hss strat

ibanez is good for metal too

I have an Epiphone special II. It’s an alright guitar, it’s pretty versatile sound-wise (esp. if you get new strings) but it also goes outta tune really fast, and is heavier (weight wise) than other guitars I’ve used. And the amp that came with it (I got the kit) broke fast.

I suppose if you have a good amp, and don’t mind retuning it lots, it has the potential to sound good.
